Love Bellevue Botanical Gardens' Holiday Display

There's still time to visit Bellevue Botanical Gardens Garden D'lights. This is a fantastic display of holiday lights created by volunteers who started working in February 2011.Their newest creation is a dragon made with 6500 lights in honor of the upcoming Chinese New Year which will be Year of the Dragon.

Visiting is well worth the $5 admission fee!

Here's a video to give you a taste of it.

If you looking for something to do on New Year's Eve with family and friends, visiting Bellevue Botanical Gardens in Bellevue, Washington, could be a nice option. Be sure to take photos at the Photo Op bench!

Gardening in Small Spaces

 "Small is beautiful."
That's a quote I heard somewhere. I don't know where but I think it can be true.

Even a small space can have a beautiful garden.
Suggestion:
  1. Take an inexpensive pot.
  2. Fill with good potting soil mixed with soil amender like a good compost or earthworm castings.
  3. Plant with some simple easy care plants like herbs or flowers.
  4. Then add a few nice rocks and some ornaments.
I found this blue Buddha at a thrift store. The pot is just an inexpensive plastic one that someone gave me with primroses already planted in it. The ornamental grass I bought and planted. The moss I found and transplanted into the pot. BTW, moss can look fantastic in a small garden. It's possible to create a lovely simple container garden using different kinds of moss.
